Play Playground…Where Adults Can Be Kids!
I may be an adult, but I still enjoy playing around. I think tapping into your inner kid keeps you young! At Play Playground, located in the Luxor hotel, you can do exactly that.
For around $45 to $50, you can get a card, loaded with points, that you can use for a variety of games that are in Play Playground. You’ll have about 90 minutes of game play. Some games are free (such as table games like Tic Tac Toe or the floor game of Cornhole) and some require you to use your card. But all of the games are meant to be played with another person or a group so you can have the ultimate fun!
The space inside is not huge, but there are around 20 games to play, give or take. That number depends on if any games are broken. You can see how many words you are able to make in the game Word Up. If you like more physicality, you might enjoy Ringer Run, a task that requires you to move the ring from one side to another without touching the sides, or Move It, which is similar to the Bop It game from long ago, but on a much bigger scale.
My favorite game was the Bullseye. I had to put on an oversized jumpsuit (very heavy, I might add) that had velcro on the front. Then using the trampoline, I jumped and lunged myself at a gigantic velcro bullseye. I did stick to the velcro, but I didn’t make it anywhere near the bullseye. Still, it was a blast!
Play Playground is open to children during the day, but is only for adults at night, so it’s great for families or those without kids. A bar is onsite if you want to have some liquid courage for going down the big slide (I didn’t!). Overall, Play Playground is a fun place to enjoy hands-on games without the need for Virtual Reality or video games. Let your inner kid play to your heart’s content!
