The Palazzo and the Venetian…Luxurious Life
Let me first say that I love the Venetian as much as I love the Palazzo. Either hotel is lovely, but my most recent stay was at the Palazzo.
Parking at the Palazzo is fairly easy, as long as you look for the entrance to the casino. Upon entering, you’re transported to a hotel that gets its inspiration from Italian beauty and architecture. I love the cream and gold colors that can be found in the lobby and around the hotel. The crown molding gives an elegant look throughout the hallways along with the plush carpet. If you book the hotel during the weekday, you can manage to get decent prices. Otherwise, the price will skyrocket due to its popularity. Ouch!
Inside, the room is just luxurious! Honestly, the room felt as big as my first apartment, because you get over 700 spacious square feet. The bathroom is bananas, in a good way! There’s a separate shower with a glass enclosure right next to an oversized bathtub. The marble floors and countertops, also present throughout the hotel, provide a touch of glamour that take the room to a whole other level! Separated from the main part of the bathroom is a room for the toilet, and the bathroom also has a small TV (definitely fancy!)
Continue down the hall of your room and you’ll find a plush bed, comfortable robes in the closet, ample storage, not one but two large TVs, and a sunken living room area with a table and couch. With one tap, you can automatically open and close the curtains and peer out toward the view of Las Vegas. Just be warned that if you touch the refrigerator, you will be charged a fee! Bring your own snacks to avoid the temptation.
If shopping is your thing, then head down to the Grand Canal Shoppes that connect the Palazzo and the Venetian. The stores are fairly high-end, so be prepared to drop some money if that’s what you like. I’m much more into the restaurants, and there are plenty of those as well. Take a stroll in the Grand Canal Shoppes and eventually, you’ll find the blue indoor sky and painted plaza awaiting you, where you can get some gelato, take a gondola ride, and be serenaded by the gondolier.
Las Vegas is blazing hot in the summer (think 110 degrees or more), so you can cool off in the many pools that are located at the hotel. There are adult only pool areas, pools that have cabanas, pools for everyone!
