Although there are more restaurants on the Strip in Las Vegas that can be counted, plenty of great restaurants abound off the Strip as well. A standout that we instantly loved is Bonito Michoacan, a fun and lively Mexican restaurant. If you’re looking for good food in a festive, colorful atmosphere, this restaurant is it!
Upon walking in, you are instantly greeted with vibrant decor in every part of the restaurant, including the walls, tables, and chairs. The brightly colored furniture and paintings, along with the Banda Mexican music, makes the energy of the restaurant stand out. Yet as beautiful as the restaurant is, the food tastes just as amazing.
The menu is extensive, which makes it difficult to figure out what’s the best item to order, but that’s not bad when everything is so good! When I ate at this restaurant, I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were soooo delicious! I’m pretty picky about tortillas because many restaurants don’t get them right, but these were perfect. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful, and bell peppers and onions crisp. I also ordered an agua fresca and it was perfect as well! Not too sweet, but not bland either. I ate way too much, and got way too full, but it was worth it!
The service at Bonito Michoacan is fast and friendly. Our server came by often and made sure we had our drinks refilled and our dirty plates taken away. The feeling in the restaurant is relaxed, with a family feel that makes everyone welcome and at home. We go to Las Vegas every year, and this restaurant will definitely be on our “must visit” list each time! If you go, let us know what you think!
